Matt brings 25 years of experience in international finance. Matt was previously a partner for a Big Four accounting firm having spent over 20 years abroad in audit. Matt is now based in the UK and is the owner of Matthew Clarke Ltd. During Matt’s tenure within the Big Four, his client range was largely financial services companies and his principal areas of speciality included US GAAP technical accounting (investments, business combinations and non-controlling interests, consolidation including variable interest entities, real estate, lease accounting, specialized investment company accounting, fair value measurements, revenue recognition and stock-based compensation). Matt has also assisted clients in various capital raising projects, notably public and private offerings in the US for foreign private issuers. As a result Matt is well versed in various aspects of SEC financial reporting as well as the internal controls over financial reporting requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
